George Church, Professor of Genetics at Harvard Medical School

We are now thrilled to be profiling some of our speakers who will give mind blowing talks at TEDxCERN on May 3rd!

First up,  George Church,  Professor of Genetics at Harvard Medical School, who is a pioneer in personal genomics and synthetic biology. Church helped initiate the Human Genome Project,  has gone on to found personalgenomes.org, and continues to work on the bleeding edge of DNA research. He is co-author of  Regenesis: How Synthetic Biology Will Reinvent Nature and Ourselves (2011) with Ed Regis.  And as recently as last June was one of the six scientists who authored the proposal for a Brain Activity Map Project.

We are in for a treat when Church addresses new uses of DNA as storage system, DNA as a new delivery system, the citizen science portion of personal genomes, and the Brain Activity Map Project.
